Let's Celebrate

Hi Folks
Hope you are all having a good weekend.  Mind you, it is typical English bank holiday weather today, pouring it down.  But I am off to work soon so not too bothered.

Today I thought I would share a card I have made using the latest CD from Kraftyhands called Romantique.  The CD can be found in the shop here.  It is full of gorgeous vintage images and papers.

I decided to go for a stepper card and chose a lovely bright yellow.  All of the papers and toppers and sentiments are printed from the CD.  I added some ribbon and a bow and some pearls as embellishments to compliment the printed elements.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I do appreciate all the kind comments that you leave me.  I am still trying to get myself organised after starting back to full time work.  I will get there but my commenting is having to take a back seat at the moment.  Please accept my apologies.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Bunny Zoes - Shaped cards
Creative Inspirations - ATG
Simply Create Too - Special Occasion
HIMCR - ATG
613 Avenue Create - ATG
Incy Wincy - ATG

Use a Sentiment at Crafty Friends Challenge

Hi Folks
Hope you are all well and had a good week.  I am at work this morning so this is a scheduled post.  Just hope that blogger plays nicely and posts this for me.

Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Crafty Friends.  Our theme for this challenge is:
Use a Sentiment

Here is my inspiration project using an image from one of our sponsors Oddball Art.

I coloured the image with promarkers before distressing the edges and matting onto kraft card.  I also added some glamour dust to the bubbles but this is not showing up on the photograph.  The backing papers are from my freebie magazine stash so not sure where they came from.  Again, I distressed all the edges before matting onto kraft card.  The sentiments were in my stash and I added some lace, a feather, flower and dazzlers for embellishments.

Thanks for popping by and would love for you to enter the challenge over at Crafty Friends.  We have two great sponsors for this challenge:

Anyone for Cake?

Hi Folks
Hope you all had a good weekend.  The new job is going really well and I think I am going to really enjoy it.  Just got to get used to the work patterns and getting myself organised at home.  I am getting there slowly and I am sure it will all fall into place.

Today I wanted to share a birthday card I made using a Woodware stamp.

The stamp set comes with the large CAKE stamp and the smaller sentiments.  I stamped the large stamp onto white card and then onto patterned paper.  This enabled me to paperpiece the C and K.
The patterned paper was in my scraps box and the candle image is also from the stamp set.  I just stamped a row to make a border strip.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I really do appreciate all your comments.  Please accept my apologies if my commenting is a bit intermittent at the moment.

Anyway, onto crafty matters.  Today is my turn to post a digi inspiration post over at Little Claire's Designs.

Happy Birthday Mate!!

Hi Folks
Hope you are well and had a good weekend.  I am a bit nervous but excited as I start my new job tomorrow.  It is a total change of career from my last job but looking forward to the challenge.  Wish me luck as I think I will need it.  I will let you know more in a few days.

Today I thought I would share a card that I made for one of my daughter's friends children.  I made it last year but never got round to posting it.

The image is from a Lily of the Valley art pad.  These do make for super quick cards and the images are gorgeous.  I simply matted onto some light blue card and added some faux stitching.  The backing paper are from a K & Co paper pad and I added some ribbon across the centre and a couple of gems.  A sentiment finished the card.
