Let's Tie A Bow

Hi Folks
Hope you are all well.  I am off to see a Queen Tribute Band tonight with some friends.  As it is my birthday tomorrow they are treating me.  Then tomorrow night I am out for dinner with my family.  A lovely birthday treat and looking forward to my weekend.

Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Winter Wonderland.  Our theme for this week is:
Tie A Bow

Here is my inspiration project using a cute image from our sponsor, Digi Stamp Boutique.

I decided to go for a bright, cheery colour scheme for this card combining orange and yellow.  The image was coloured in promarkers and cut out using my circle die.  All of the other bits and bobs were from my stash.

Our sponsor for this weeks challenge is:

with a prize of a £10 voucher for the winner

Just pop over to Winter Wonderland for full challenge details.  There is some lovely inspiration from my talented teamies too.

Spots and Stripes

Hi Everyone
Yippee, it's my day off today so going to make the most of it in my crafty room.  Will be taking the mother-in-law to physio again but that is not until 4.00pm.  Just can't believe how well she is doing after her replacement knee op.  She is determined to be able to do some dancing at my daughter's wedding in June.

Anyway, today sees the start of a new challenge over at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges.  Our theme for this week is
Spots and Stripes

We have two great sponsors joining us this week:
Inky Impressions - prize of a $10 gift certificate to the winner
Paper Creator - prize of a £10 store credit to the winner

Here is my inspiration project using a cute image from Paper Creator.

The image is precoloured and I simply cut it out using one of my dies and added some pearls around the outside.  The papers were in my scraps box and I used kraft card for all the matting.  The corners and sentiment are die cut and I added some stickles to the sentiment for added sparkle.  A ribbon, bow and sparkly dazzler finished the card.

Thanks for popping by and looking forward to seeing all your entries.  Just pop over to Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges for full challenge details.  Don't forget to check out the super inspiration from my talented teamies.

What's Your Favourite Technique

Hi Folks
Just popping by today to share some inspiration for our current challenge over at The Crafting Cafe.  Our theme for this month is:
Show Us Your Favourite Technique

The winner of the challenge will receive some crafting goodies from our very own DT member Sammy.

Here is my inspiration project.

Two techniques that I love using (time permitting) is stamping and embossing.  I used a stamp set from Clearly Besotted Stamps for the sentiment and the flowers.  After colouring in with my promarkers I fussy cut the flowers and stems.  The background was embossed with my large dotty embossing folder.  I cut an aperture so you could see the sentiment and added a die cut around.  Some pearls on the die cut and pearl flourishes finished the card.
Although this is quite a simple card it seemed to take ages to come together.  But I do like the end result.

Thanks for popping by and don't forget to check out the challenge at The Crafting Cafe.  Would love to see your favourite technique.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Love at Little Claire's

Hi Folks
Welcome everyone on Valentines Day.  Hubby got me some flowers, chocolates and a lovely bottle of Prosecco.  Will enjoy my choccies and bubbly this evening when I get in from work.

Just popping by today to let you all know that a new stamping challenge starts today over at Little Claire's.  The theme for this month is:
Love

Here is my inspiration project using Buttons and Bows stamp set and Little Claire's Sentiment stamps.

I wanted to try something a bit different by way of a Valentines card.  I stamped the heart image 8 times onto white card.  I then used one of the sentiment stamps for the centre.  Ribbon was then added to create little squares.  Some heart shaped buttons finished the card.  I also added some stickles around the outside of the card.
I did consider colouring the hearts but decided against it as I liked the clean look.

Hope you will pop over to Little Claire's and join in the challenge.  There is a fab prize this month on offer to the winner:

Hi Folks
Hope everyone's week is going as planned.  It is my day off today so will be heading into my crafty room this morning.  This afternoon I am taking my Mother-In-Law to the hospital for her physio appointment.  She is doing really well after her replacement knee operation.  She is managing to get around using her crutches and doing a little bit more each day.

Today sees the start of our second digi challenge over at Little Claire.  Our theme for this month is:
Love and Romance

Here is my inspiration project using a lovely image called Silhouette Wedding.

I used mirror card for all the matting.  For the background I embossed the bottom half using my flourish embossing folder.  For the top of the card I used my ivy corner die.  I added some roses and lace across the centre of the card.  Some distress ink around the edges helped to soften the look and I added a gem heart to the image topper.

The image I have used can be found here.

The prize for this months challenge is 5 digi images of the winners choice from Little Claire.

Favourite Fold or Technique

Hi Folks
It has been a pretty chilly week here so far.  We had a light sprinkling of snow on Monday night but it all melted away on Tuesday.  Getting a bit fed up of scraping my car every morning though.  Roll on summer is all I can say lol.

Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges.  Our theme for this week is:
Use your favourite card fold or technique
You can create any project you like but make sure you tell us what your favourite is.

We have three sponsors joining us this week;
Bugaboo Stamps - prize of 7 digi images of the winners choice
Crafty Sentiments - prize of a £10 gift voucher
Di's Digi Stamps - prize of a $12 voucher

Here is my inspiration project using a great image from Bugaboo Stamps.

I used one of my favourite card folds which is an easel card.  I decided to be quite simple with this one.  The image was coloured using promarkers and then mounted onto some black card.  I embossed the white background using my dotty embossing folder.  Some card candi, a button and some twine finished the card.

Thanks for popping by and looking forward to seeing all your entries.  Just pop over to Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges to check out full challenge details.  There is also lots of inspiration for you from my talented teamies.

Sowing the Seeds of Love

Hi Folks
Hope you all had a good weekend.  I got lots done on my daughter's wedding invites and some DT work done so  productive weekend for me.

A quick post from me today to let you know that Kraftyhands are launching a new CD called Sowing the Seeds of Love.  The CD will be on the British Craft Network at 11.00am.  The CD contains lots of gorgeous images, card sets and papers.

Here is one of my sample projects using toppers and papers from the CD.

I received a box of chocolates at Christmas so I decided to recycle and alter the box.  All of the toppers and papers are from the CD.  Additions from my own stash were the ribbon, flowers, metal butterfly and the butterflies using my butterfly punch.

I also decorated the inside and outer edge of the box.
