Winter Wonderland

Hi Folks
Thought I would pop by today with another of my quick christmas makes.  I am planning on getting some crafty time in tomorrow afternoon after I have done my morning shift at work.  It will be nice to start working on some projects that are not christmas related lol.

I used a stamp set from Bee Crafty for this project.  It is based on a sample card that I saw at a Sincerely Yours craft show that I went to in November.

I used the word Winter from the stamp set to stamp the background using different colours of distress ink.  This was then matted onto some dark blue card.  I stamped the trees and sentiment using distress ink before matting onto the same dark blue card and adding to the background.  A dark blue ribbon bow and dazzler gem finished the card.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.

If I don't get a chance before Friday I would like to wish you all a very happy New Year.

Happy Christmas

Hi Folks
Well, Christmas is over for another year.  Hope you all had a good time and Santa was good to you.  I was very spoilt by my family and even got some crafting goodies.  I decided to have a break from blogging in the lead up to Christmas.  I was working up to and including Christmas Day and really did not have time.  Now the main festivities are over I have more time and can now get in the swing of things again.

Today I thought I would share another of my quick Christmas card makes using a stamp set from the Folk Christmas collection from Docrafts.

I stamped the various images onto white card using some blue memento ink.  I added some strings to the baubles and some doodling around the outside of the card.  This was then mounted onto some dark blue card.  For embellishments I just added some gems.

A really quick card but fun to do.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I really do appreciate all your lovely comments and your continued support.  I have not had a lot of time for commenting myself just lately but hoping to get around to visiting your lovely blogs in the next couple of days.

Christmas Tags

Hi Folks
Hope you are all well.  Please accept my apologies for my lack of posts and commenting over the past week.  I have been busy getting caught up with housework and christmas preparations.  I have made some of my gifts this year so that has taken up a large portion of my time this week.  Hopefully come the new year I will have more time.

Today I thought I would share with you some of the tags I have made to go on my gifts this year.

I cut the tag out from kraft card using one of my dies.  The tree and bird stamp is a stamp set from Inkylicious.  I added some glitter to the trees and some white ink around the edge of the tag.  Quick and easy and I was able to mass produce these.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I really do appreciate all your comments and keep your eyes peeled in the New Year for some candy to say thank you.

Sparkle and Shine

Hi Folks
After a busy week I am so glad it is Saturday.  One more shift to do at work tomorrow and then I have a whole week off.  Think I need it as Christmas Day is less than two weeks away lol.

Today I thought I would share another christmas card using a great stamp from Woodware.

Another quick and easy card to do.  I stamped the tree image onto some stamping card and added some little snowflakes from another stamp set I have.  The sentiment came with the tree image and I love it.  I mounted the stamped image onto some gold mirror card and then set about decorating the tree.  I used various embellishments including card candi, dazzlers, gems and pearls.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I do appreciate all the lovely comments that you leave me.

Merry Tweetmas

Hi Folks
Finally managed to find a few minutes to pop by my blog.  I have the next couple of days off so I am planning on finishing my christmas present shopping and getting it all wrapped.  Will be one item ticked off the list lol.

Today I thought I would share another quick christmas card using a Woodware Stamp.  I thought it was just so cute.

I stamped the image with memento ink and then coloured it in using my promarkers.  The sentiment came with the stamp.  I added some liquid pearls around the image and some doodling around the edge.  Although you can't see it very well I did add some glitter to the red breasts of the robins and some glossy accents to the nose of the reindeer.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I really do appreciate all the lovely comments that you leave me.

Seasons Greetings

Hi Folks
Well, another week has flown by.  I have this weekend off work so planning on completing some more christmas cards and getting some presents wrapped.  Christmas is only just around the corner.

Today I would like to share another quick and easy christmas card.

I started off by blending a couple of shades of blue distress ink onto a square of white card.  I then stamped the sentiment (which I have had in my stash for months) using distress ink.  The snowflakes are XCut dies cut out of white card.  I did add some sparkle and shine spray to them.  To finish the card I added some sequins.

A really quick and easy card to do and can be done in various colours.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I do appreciate all your lovely comments.

Oh Christmas Tree

Hi Folks
Been a very cold and wet day here today.  I was at work this morning and then spent some time in my craft room working on some christmas projects.  Christmas is fast approaching and need to get my skates on to complete my cards on time.

Today I would like to share a christmas card using a Woodware stamp that I bought recently.

I went for a DL size card for this project.  The image of the tree was stamped using black ink.  I then went over the image with my glue pen and added lots of glitter.  The sentiment and little bird stamp came with the tree stamp.  I inked around the edge of the image panel with some black soot distress ink before mounting onto some silver mirror card.

Love the glitter effect as I think it looks like a tree on a cold frosty morning.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I really do appreciate all your comments and support.

Bauble and Poinsettia

Hi Folks
Hope you are all well and had a good week.  Looking forward to the weekend as I am not working and we are going to a wedding.  My niece is getting married on Saturday.  So looking forward to celebrating with all the family.  Please accept my apologies as I probably won't get to spend much time on the computer this weekend.

Today I would like to share a quick christmas card that I did using a Woodware stamp called Patch Poinsettia Bauble.

I stamped the image onto some white square card using versamark.  I then embossed the image using some WOW embossing powder called Twinkling Lights.  It is a lovely gold colour with glittery sparkle.  I stamped and embossed the image again to decoupage some of the elements.  I added some metallic thread to the top and a small stamped sentiment.  The panel was then matted onto some gold mirror card.  Some pearls to the centre of a couple of the flowers finished the card.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  Hope you all have a good weekend.

Christmas Is Coming

Hi Folks
Hope you are all well.  It has been a little while since my last blog post but time keeps running away from me.  With working and trying to get organised for christmas I do not have much time for blogging at the moment.

My card share today features a Woodware stamp that I got from the Sincerely Yours craft show at Newark.  I do love these DL size stampS and this one was just so cute.

I stamped with Memento ink onto some stamping card.  I then coloured the image with a combination of my promarkers and some glitter gel pens that I have.  Some fake snow and glitter was added to the bobbles and fur trim of the hats.  Some distress ink was added around the edge of the panel before matting onto some green glitter card.

Quite a simple card but I like it and can see me producing a few of these.

My apologies if I do not get around to commenting as much as I would like.  Thank you to everyone for your continued support and lovely comments that you leave me.  I really do appreciate it.

Man About Town

Hi Folks
Hope things are okay with all of you.  Hubby and I are away this weekend.  We are going with our friends to the annual Queen convention that we attend every year.  This year it is being held in Southport.  A fun packed Friday to Monday listening to Queen music, watching tribute bands and lots of drinking.  Just got to get through three more shifts at work before then.

Today I thought I would share a card I did a little while ago.  It is a male card and I used toppers and papers from the Man About Town CD from Kraftyhands.

I printed the layered topper, sentiment and papers from the CD and decided to make a stepper card.  I cut the stepper card from kraft card.  For embellishments I added a couple of wooden cog flourishes that I embossed with some bronze embossing powder.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I really appreciate all the support and the comments that you leave me.  I am trying to comment on your gorgeous blogs when I can but time is limited at the moment.  The demands of a full time job lol.

Traditional Christmas Scene

Hi Folks
How are you all today?  I have been in my crafty room today catching up on some christmas makes.  Back to work tomorrow and no more days off for another 8 days.  At least with early and late shifts I still get some time to myself for crafting.

Today's card is another christmas make.  I do have some friends and relatives that like a more traditional christmas card.  With this in mind I used a topper from an old edition of Making Cards for this creation.

The papers are from the same edition of Making Cards and I used gold mirror card for the matting.  Some gold ribbon across the centre, some gold stars, card candi and a sentiment completed the card.
Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I do appreciate all your lovely comments and the support that you give me.

Krafty Christmas

Hi Folks
Hope you have all had a good start to the week.  I have had a very productive day today in my crafty space.  So nice to have a full day to spend crafting.  I have been playing with some new stamps that I got from the Sincerely Yours show at Newark.

This card features a stamp called Winter Cabin from Inkylicious.  I took the inspiration from a card that I saw on their Facebook page.  Thanks to Inkylicious for the inspiration.

I started off by creating a landscape using white ink on kraft card through a circle aperture.  Then I stamped the Winter Cabin stamp in the centre of the landscape.  To finish the scene I added some little deer stamps, some snow on the cabin and some snowflakes with a white pen.  I also went around the circle with some glitter - although this doesn't show up very well on the photo.  The dotty background paper is simply kraft card with some white dots added with a white pen.  I added the sentiment at the bottom, a ribbon bow, some pearls and some faux stitching around the square topper.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I had great fun making this card and will certainly be making some more.

For A Special Lady

Hi Folks
Hope you have all had a good weekend.  It has been my weekend off from work so I have spent my time relaxing and recharging my batteries.  Well and truly needed.   I also have tomorrow off so I intend spending the whole day in my craft room.  It is feeling very neglected at the moment lol.

Today's card share is another card that I made quite a while ago and not had chance to post.

The image is a decoupage set from Docrafts.  I mounted the decoupage onto a die cut shape and then onto a doily which I coloured with distress ink.  The backing paper are from a Papermania pad that I have had for several months (if not years).  I stamped the sentiment and added some ribbon, flowers and sparkly gems as embellishments.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I really do appreciate all your comments.

One for the Boys

Hi Folks
Had a busy morning at work and caught up with some jobs at home this afternoon.  Just having a blog catch up now before settling down to watch a film on TV.  Not sure what we are going to watch but nice to have a relaxing evening.

Todays card share is one I made a while ago using a Woodware large sentiment stamp.

The sentiment stamp was stamped and embossed onto some cardstock.  I went around the edge with some faux stitching before matting onto brown and black card.  The backing paper is some I have had in my stash for a couple of years.  For embellishments I just added some card candi to two of the corners.  A simple but effective male card.

Here is another one done in a different colour way.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I do appreciate all your comments and enjoy reading them.  Your support means a lot.  Please accept my apologies if I don't get around to commenting as much as I would like.  Returning to work full time has certainly been a challenge.

Anyone for Tea?

Hi Folks
Welcome to my blog and thanks for popping by.  It has been very cold here today so I am now snuggled up with my blanket on the sofa, cup of tea in hand.  May be tempted by a glass of wine though lol.

Today I thought I would share a card with you that I made some time ago but haven't had time to blog.  I have quite a few cards in a file on my laptop waiting for an outing to my blog so expect to see more over the next few weeks.

For this card I used a free Hunkydory kit that came with an issue of Cardmaking & Papercraft a couple of years ago (or more).  The kit was called Dreams of Spring.  I used bright pink card for all the matting.  I added some organza ribbon and a hand made bow topped with a lovely pearl heart.  Some little gems at the top finished the card.

A really quick card to put together but very pink and girly.

Winter Wonderland

Hi Folks
Over a week since my last post.  The time is really going by too quickly at the moment.

Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Winter Wonderland.  This will be my last post as part of the design team as I have decided to step down.  I have loved being part of the team but need to take a break.  My new full time job is leaving me with less time for crafting at the moment.

Anyway, our challenge for this week is:
Christmas with a Ribbon
A nice easy one for you.  You can enter any project you like as long as it is christmas related and has some ribbon.

Our sponsor for this week is Pink Gem Designs with a super prize of 2 digi images to the winner.

Here is my inspiration project using a cute image from Pink Gem Designs.

I used the precoloured version of the digi image.  They are super and do make for quick cards.  I matted the image onto mirror card and added some faux stitching around the edge.  The backing paper is from my christmas scraps box and the ribbon at the bottom is from Crafty Ribbons.  Some punched snowflakes finished the card.

Thanks for popping by would love to know what you think.  I do appreciate all your comments and love reading them.

Lace and Pearls at Little Claire's

Hi Folks
Hope you are well.  The weeks seem to be slipping by far too quickly at the moment.  It will be christmas before we know it.  Really must start to get myself organised lol.

Today sees the start of a new digi challenge over at Little Claire's.  Our theme for this month is:
Lace and Pearls

Here is my inspiration project using a lovely digi image called Silhouette Dancers which can be found here.

I printed the image and then cut it out.  I decided to cover the image with some glitter sparkle sheet which is also available here from Little Claire.  The background was embossed using my flourish embossing folder and mounted onto black card.  Some lace, ribbon, roses and pearls finished off the card.

Thanks for popping by and looking forward to seeing all your entries.  There is a prize of 5 digi images to the winner.  You can enter any project as long as you include a digi image.  Just pop over to Little Claire's for full challenge details.

PPPick Up A Penguin

Hi Folks
This is a scheduled post as I am on a long day at work today.  I am quite busy with work the next few days so please accept my apologies if I don't get round to leaving many comments.  I am really trying to keep up but blogging is having to take a back seat at the moment.

Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Winter Wonderland.  Our theme for this challenge is:
PPPick Up A Penguin
Just show us your best christmas project featuring a penguin.

Our wonderful sponsor is Crafts U Love and the prize is a £10 voucher to the winner.

Here is my inspiration project.

I used toppers from Lily of the Valley for this project.  I used silver mirror card for all the matting and the backing paper is from my christmas stash.  Some ribbon, a large bow, dazzler and some punched snowflakes from glitter card were the finishing touches.

Thanks for popping by and looking forward to seeing all your entries.  Just pop over to Winter Wonderland for full challenge details.
