Lets' Celebrate

Well folks, this is my last blog post of 2011.  I started my blog in August of this year.  I really did not know what to expect.  Would anyone really want to look at my creations?  However, as a result of my blog, I have joined the fabulous Dream Valley design team and even won Top 3 in a few challenges.  I have even gained some followers along the way for which I thank you.  I am grateful to each and every one of you who visits my blog.  Your encouragement and support are truly appreciated.  Most of all I thank you all for the inspiration you bring to me every day.  Your creations are just stunning.
Which bring me nicely onto today's creation.
I used the sketch from Papertake Weekly Challenge as the basis for my card design.  The stamp image is a LOTV one (my eldest daughter bought it for me at christmas).  I stamped her onto one of my new spellbinder dies and coloured her in using promarkers.  The papers used are by Papermania and they were mounted onto coredinations cardstock.  A scalloped edge piece of coredinations was used at the bottom with lace border added.  The flower and skeleton leaves are from WOC.  The butterfly is a punch that I have.  Although you can't see it very well I punched the butterfly out of vellum four times to give some dimension.  The lovely sentiment was provided by Aud Sentiments for their current challenge (if you wanted to use it).
In keeping with my resolution of trying to improve the inside of my cards how do you think I have got on.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly - use sketch
Sweet Stamps - #47 Celebrate
Aud Sentiments - #44  Anything goes (can use sentiment provided if you wish)
Squiggle Stamps - Lets Celebrate
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

All that remains is for me to wish you all a happy, healthy and crafty 2012.  I look forward to seeing all your fab creations in 2012.

Lady with style

Evening folks
Spent a lovely day today with my Mum and younger Sister.  Don't get to see my younger Sister very often so was really nice to have some time together catching up.
Today's card is a pink and brown creation, in keeping with the challenge over at Lothian Crafts Online.
The stamp is from Kanban and I bought this a few weeks before christmas.  This is the first chance I have had to use it.  I wanted the colouring to be quite soft so coloured it with chalks.  The brown and pink card are coredinations cardstock that I distressed.  The patterned paper is from a paper pack by Tim Holtz.I created the corners by using one of my spellbinders dies.  Some flowers from WOC, a ribbon, bow and some gems and pearls finished the card.
Here is a shot of the inside.  As you can see this is a birthday card for my elder sister.
Apologies for the bad photos.  Either the light is not right or I take a blurry photograph.  Believe me when I say that it is not so fluorescent pink in reality lol.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Lothian Crafts Online - #21  Pink and Brown
Squiggle Stamps - Lets celebrate
Simon Says Stamp - Anything goes

Thanks for popping by and hope you pop by again.

Thank You

Evening everyone
Been a bit of a dull, windy and wet Thursday here today.  Spent a bit of time in my crafty room but had to tackle sorting the fridge out.  You know how it is.  All the various leftovers from Christmas Day get put in the fridge - supposedly, to make a meal out of the next day.  The problem is a meal is never made out of it.  So a good clear out was in order today.  Still have tons of food in there though.  Every year I say that I am not going to go overboard on the food but I always do.  Oh well, suppose I'm a bit long in the tooth to change now.  lol.
Anyway onto today's card.  I got this lovely thank you stamp today from my local craft shop and this formed the basis for the card.  The stamp is by Papermania and, although you can't see it very well, it has the word thanks written in each of the letters.  I simply coloured it in promarkers and heat embossed the star in gold.  Also added a bit of distress ink.
I also followed the sketch over at Sunday Sketch and Stamp challenge.
Stuck to the colour scheme of red, black and cream.  All the paper and card used were oddments that were in my stash box.  The gold corners were some spellbinders die cuts that I heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  Also did some embossing using my big shot on the black piece of card.  A few flowers from WOC and a gold glitter brad finished the card.
Here is a photo of the inside of the card.
I used the same black, cream and red theme.  The corners were the same ones as used on the front but cut out of the red paper instead of heat embossed.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Sunday Sketch and Stamp - 86
Ribbon Girl - colour challenge.  Use red, black and cream
Charisma Cardz - #50 anything goes

May I take this opportunity to say thank you to all my followers and visitors to my blog.  Your support and encouragement are much appreciated.  I thoroughly enjoy reading all your comments and visiting your blogs.
Best wishes to all for 2012.

He's checking his list....

Evening Folks in Blogland
All my family left yesterday morning so have had a relaxing couple of days.  And what better way to spend it than in my crafty room.  Did have to do a bit of sorting out in there as it was a makeshift bedroom for my Mum over Christmas Day and Boxing Day.  I also had to make room for all my crafty goodies that I got for Christmas.  Must say I was a very lucky girl.
I spotted this sketch at Sketch Saturday and decided to make a Christmas card - well, I did have all my christmas stash out and might as well make a start on next year lol.
The topper is from Papermania, as are the papers used.  I used kraft card to create the card blank.  Kraft card was also used for the matting and layering.  Did some embossing with my snowflakes folder on the white card.  Added three small red flowers, a sentiment and some festive red ribbons.
I have also decided to try and spend a bit more time on the inside of the card.  I have always added an insert but they have tended to be quite plain.  This is how the inside of this card looks.
I thought it came out quite well.  What do you think?
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Sketch Saturday - #186
Simon Says Stamp - anything goes
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges - #69 Holiday Gifts

Thanks for looking.  Please feel free to leave any comments.  I love receiving and reading them.

Love you Nanny

Hope that you all had a good Christmas Day.  Had a great time with family yesterday and today.  Just making the most now of a few minutes to myself.  I was a very lucky gal and received lots of crafting goodies for christmas.  My husband bought me lots of Spellbinders dies and I got some new stamps and some goodies from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Hopefully I will get a chance to have a play in the next few days.
Just wanted to share this card that I made for my nephews to give to my Mum (their Nanny) for christmas.
The cute image was a digi image from Dilly Beans.  I coloured it using my promarkers, mounted onto kraft card and added some silver peel offs to the corners.  The backing papers are from Papermania, again, mounted onto kraft card.  Added some glitter strips around the edge for a bit of sparkle.  Some gems and sentiments completed the card.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges.
Simon Says Stamp - use bingo board (used line 1across ribbon, gems, sparkle)

Special Card for a Special Person

Wow, Christmas Eve already.  Hope you are all ready.  Done lots of prep today so can enjoy tomorrow with my lovely family.
Been wanting to post this card for a little while but couldn't as it was for my Mum who is a regular visitor to my blog.  She is also a talented card maker.  But she has got it now so I can put it on here.
I decided to go for a decoupage Forever Friends image.  These are so cute and make a change from stamping.  The backing paper was from Papermania.  The strip at the bottom is black mirror card with some lace and gingham peel offs and pearls added.  I added a messy bow using vintage ribbon, a rose from WOC and some decorative pins.  Some metallic brads on the image and a decorative swirl from gems was the finishing touch.
Here is a closer image of the flower bow.
Must say that I loved the way it came out and Mum loved it too.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Sir Stampalot - use Bingo Board - used lines 1 across(brads, lace, pearls), diagonal (brads, flowers, ribbon)

Keep It Simple

Well, think I am almost there.  All presents bought and wrapped, check, all cards made and written, check.  Just have to go to the supermarket tomorrow to get the last few bits.  Can start to relax a bit now.
Wanted to share a card with you that I made a couple of weeks ago.  The idea was to do something quick, that could be reproduced easily.
For the little squares at the side I stamped some snowflake images using Versamark.  I then used chalk to colour over the images and added some glitter for sparkle.  The background was done using my snowflakes embossing folder.  A bit of glitter card and ribbon at the side created a border for the snowflake squares.  The sentiment image was another one from my stash (sorry, can't remember who did it as I have lost the packaging).  This again was stamped in Versamark, coloured over with chalk and glittered.
Not my usual style of card but quite liked how they came out.  In fact I did them in various colourways.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly- Last Christmas card of the year
Crimbo Crackers - #5 Snowflakes
Thanks for popping by.

May I take this opportunity to wish you all a very merry christmas and a wonderful new year.  Thanks to all my followers and everyone who has visited my blog and left such lovely comments.  Your support and encouragement are much appreciated.

Snow Family

This is one of my final christmas cards.  I had finished but couldn't resist making a card with this cute family.
I found the digi image on the Dilly Beans challenge blog whilst I was recently browing through blogland.  The challenge was to create a card using the image.  I coloured the image using promarkers, edged with some distress ink and matted onto glitter card.  The papers were from Papermania.  To add some detail I tore some white glitter card and added it to the bottom of the card to create a mock snow effect.  I also added some glitter and felt trees.  A few gems, snowflakes and a sentiment finished the card.
Will definitely be checking out the Dilly Beans site.  They have some digi images that are quite unusual and a bit different.
I would like to enter this card into:
Dilly Beans snow family challenge giveaway.
Cutie Pie Challenge - #7 Use a sentiment.

Hubby Humbug.....

Only a few days left now to the big day.  This weekend I thought that I had better get on and make hubby's christmas card.  I saw the perfect image for him over at Dude Time Doodles.  It is called Ebenezer Humbug.  Anyone who knows my hubby will agree that it suits him to a tee.
I coloured the image using promarkers and matted onto gold card using my scalloped oval die.  The papers used are from my stash (papermania I think).  The two white panels were put through my snowflakes embossing folder.  I die cut some christmas trees, green fern and gold snowflakes for a bit of added sparkle.
I think he will see the funny side of it as his favourite saying at this time of year is Bah Humbug!!!
Here is another photo taken from a slightly different angle and light.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Up, up and away....

Well another weekend has flown by.  It was hubby's birthday today.  Went out for an indian meal last night with some good friends of ours.  Hubby drank a little too much red wine so had a quiet day today to let him recover.
Here is the card I made for him.
My hubby loves anything to do with flying whether it be planes, hot air balloons or even spacecraft.  So when I spotted this Hero Arts stamp set it was ideal.  The images were stamped onto white card.  I distressed around the edges to soften, matted onto Coredinations cardstock and added some faux stitching in white.  I also added a little ribbon knot at the bottom of each image.
The backing papers used were all from Tim Holtz.  The brown paper image is from a fab Tim Holtz kraft resist paper pad and features a world map, although you can't see too much of it due to the images covering it.  As it was a card from me I wanted to add some flowers but nothing too fussy.  I made these out of coredinations cardstock and added some twirls out of cardstock too.  The ribbon is some seam binding that I coloured with distress ink.  A couple of sentiments and gems completed the card.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Penny Black and More - Happy Birthday
Scrapbook Sisters - challenge 64  Two colours
Allsorts - 134   Blue and Brown

Take It Easy Dad

Evening all.  I am trying to get hubby's birthday cards done for Sunday.  Is a bit of a rush trying to fit making his cards in but I could not bring myself to go out and buy his birthday cards.
Have done another one tonight which is for my youngest daughter to give to her Dad.  She is 20 (makes me feel old) and is in Manchester attending uni there but she is still Daddy's little girl.
Had to keep it fairly simple as hubby is not into lots of fancy frills, lol.  The image is from Digi Stamp Boutique (I was lucky enough to win some free images recently).  I coloured him with promarkers and matted onto some blue gingham paper and kraft card.  All the papers used were a paper pack from Wild Rose Studio.  I used a fineliner pen to add some doodles around the edges.  Added some brown ribbon and peel off letters at the bottom.  The sentiment is from Little Claires and I sprayed it with some spray and sparkle to give it a bit of shine.
I am entering this into the Sunday Sketch and Stamp Challenge.

Thanks for looking.  Now to tackle the card from my eldest daughter and the one from me.  If anyone has any ideas for male cards that they would be willing to share I would be grateful.  I do find male cards a definite challenge.

Molly Blooms Birthday

Morning everyone on this cold, wet and horrid day.
Just a quick post before I set off for work.  It is my hubby's birthday this Sunday so have had a break from christmas cards to make his birthday card.  This card is one that I was asked to make for my nephews to give to him.  I used the sketch over at sketch saturday.
I used Kraft card as the base because I thought it would suit the image and the fact that it is a male card.  The image is a Molly Blooms stamp that I got free with a magazine months ago.  I coloured with promarkers and cut some scalloped circles and added a bit of distress ink.  The papers were from my stash (not sure who they are from).  Did lots of faux stitching and added some ribbon and ric rac to the bottom.  Computer generated sentiment and a mock button.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges
Sketch Saturday - week 185 use sketch
Totally Papercrafts - #96 anything but christmas

Thanks for looking and hope you all have a good day.

Bah Humbug

Evening all,
Well it's a cold, wet, windy evening here.  Hope you are all well and keeping warm.
Do you know the feeling when you see an image and instantly know that it is meant for one particular person?  This happened to me when I saw some images on the Dude Time Doodles blog.  I saw two images by Bonibleaux Designs that instantly made me think of my husband.  Now I am not saying that he is a misery but Christmas does not always bring out the best in him.  His favourite saying at this time of year is Bah Humbug!!
This card is for my daughters to give to him.
Now I couldn't decide which image to use so used them both to create a double twisted easel card.
The images are both coloured with promarkers.  Decided to keep the overall design quite simple as it is a male card.  So no fancy frills or bows.
As the finishing touch to this image I added some twine and gems around the outside.  I am hoping it looks a little like some twisted fairy lights but I will let you be the judge of that.  Also added some glamour dust around the edge.
This is the second image which has just had some gems and glamour dust added.
On both images I added some fancy corners cut out of glitter card.
The sentiments were typed out on the computer and matted onto green cardstock that I cut out using dies on my big shot.  Finally added a strip of green card to the front which had a merry christmas peelable sentiment ribbon put on it.

I think it will put a smile on his face when he receives it.  Well, I hope so anyway lol.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Cards for Men - theme is number 2 (2 images, double easel card)
Hotshot Craft - challenge 1, use promarkers
Secret Crafter - #164 All creatures great and small (dogs on the christmas tree image)

Dream Valley Challenge 22 - Christmas

Woo hoo... excited to be posting my first card as part of the Dream Valley Challenges design team.  The theme for this challenge is 'Christmas' and is the last one for 2011.  Here is my card.
The stamp is from a set by Papermania.  Kept it quite simple with a bit of colouring with Promarkers and glitter glue used for his scarf.  Used some papers from Papermania which are so festive.  As embellishments I added an embossed panel, a mock poinsettia which I made using one of my punches, some glitter fern branches using a Marianne Creatables die and some peel off snowflakes.  Of course, there is plenty of glitter for that added sparkle.
There are several prizes for this challenge so why not pop over and have a go.  While you are there check out all the fab work done by the Dream Valley team.  The challenge will end on 7th January so plenty of time to join in.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Shockingly Pink

Evening Folks
Second post from me today.  Been very cold here today but I have been in my warm crafty room for most of the day.  Glad to report that only have a couple more christmas cards to do.
Was having a look round blogland today and came across this super little gingerbread man image on the Bows and Berries blog.  I couldn't resist using him.
Now I had no idea what I was going to do or what papers to use.  So, I just delved my hand into my christmas paper stash and the paper that came out was the brown one with the christmas greetings on it.  That set the scene for the rest of the card.  Decided just to have fun with it, hence the shocking pink creation.  Also went quite minimal with the embellishments.
Who says christmas just has to be red or green, lol.
I am entering this card into the Bows and Berries challenge #15 - use the freebie image provided.  They also have a blog hop going on but it ends tomorrow so be quick if you want to join in the fun.

Thanks for looking.  Have a good evening everyone.  Just watching the X Factor final while doing a bit of blogging.

Blue and White Christmas

Hello everyone on this cold and frosty morning.  Think I may stay cosy and warm today.  Bit chilly for going out me thinks.
Todays card is a quick easel card.
Decided to go with a simple colour combo of blue and white.  I embossed some white card with my snowflakes folder and matted this onto some light blue snowflakes paper (although you can't see the paper very well in this photo).  The topper was a papermania stamp that I heat embossed.  Decided not to do any colouring on it as I wanted to keep it clean and simple.  Used my dies to cut out the scalloped circles and some distress ink to soften the edges.  Finally added a nice sentiment from my stash, some flowers and lace.
Another view.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Crimbo Crackers - 4 Embossing
Simon Says Stamp - photomontage (took my inspiration from the bauble and all the snowy whiteness of the images)
Aud Sentiments - 43 Winter Holiday Sentiment
Stamps R Us - Emboss It

Thanks for looking and please feel free to leave me comments.  I look forward to reading them.
Off to do some more crafting now, may even get my christmas cards finished!!

Forever Friends

Evening Folks
Hope you are all well.  Been working on my final few christmas cards.  Then this evening it dawned on me that it is hubby's birthday a week before christmas.  So I need to get his Birthday cards made.  Slight panic setting in but I suppose it will make a change from christmas cards lol.
Anyway, this is a card that my daughter's fiance asked me to make.  Think he is trying to impress by going for the handmade card at christmas, bless him.
She does love Forever Friends and this christmas decoupage image was ideal.  Used lots of red, gold and sparkle. Added some lovely WOC flowers in the bottom corner, together with a lacy doily and some decorative pins.
Did add some glitter to the flowers for some added sparkle.
I would like to enter this card into the Forever Friends Challenge #12 - It's all Christmas.

Thanks for looking and please let me know what you think.  Thanks also to my lovely followers.  I really apppreciate your interest and support.

Bling it on!!!

And a very good evening to you all
Finally feel that I am winning the battle of the christmas cards.  The end of the list is in sight.  Still got some presents to get and most of the wrapping to do though lol.

Onto today's offering which is a bit sparkly.  The challenge set by The Stamping Boutique was to make a card using non traditional christmas colours.  Purple is my favourite colour so was an obvious choice for me.
I followed the sketch set by Sketch and Stash challenge as the layout for my card.  Most of the items used was stuff that was in my stash from last christmas.  The only new item used was the flowers.
The stamp is one from Woodware.  I bought it last year but never used it so thought it was about time it came out of its packet.  Kept the image quite simple by just adding some glitter and pearls.
Hopefully you can see the glitter effect a bit better on this closer photo.

I used Coredinations cardstock for the purple backing card and some papers and glitter card from my stash.  The little pearlescent snowflakes are actually peel offs and I thought they went quite nicely.
Added some ribbons and flowers for the finishing touch.

I would like the enter this card into the following challenges:
Sketch n Stash - challenge 76
Totally papercrafts - #95 Let It Snow
One Stop Craft Challenge - Week 160 Let It Snow
The Stamping Boutique - #21 non traditional christmas colours

Thanks for looking.  Time for a nice cuppa and a quick catch up with blogland before I snuggle up in bed.

Just hanging around....

Evening Folks
Can't believe it's Sunday evening already.  The weekend just seems to have flown by.  Did get a few more christmas cards made and some more christmas shopping done.
I also put up my tree and decorations today.  I have a passion for soft cuddly snowmen, penguins and santas.  Each year I buy a new stuffed figure to add to my collection.  My daughters did comment that my lounge looks a bit like an explosion in a toy store lol.  But if you can't go a bit over the top at christmas then it's a poor show.
Anyway, I would like to share this card with you.
I have made this card for some special friends of ours.  It is quite a large card (8 x 8).  The image is a stamp from Penny Black.  I think it is just so cute and really adds a touch of humour.  I coloured the image using promarkers.  The bauble was done by stamping the image onto patterned paper, cutting it out and then sticking it on.
The layout was using the sketch from the Sketch Saturday challenge.  All the papers are from Papermania and have been matted onto green cardstock.  The ric-rac ribbon, christmas tree and holly are all felt.  Finally added a computer sentiment, some WOC flowers and a glitter flourish cut using my Big Shot.
Here is a closer look at the image.

Oh Christmas Tree....

Evening Folks
Well it has certainly felt a lot chillier today.  But on the plus side it is Friday so no work for two days.  Good job really as I still have quite a few christmas cards to make.  Just spent an age doing some online shopping for presents.  Got a good bit ordered but not looking forward to the mammoth job of wrapping them.  Hopefully will be able to rope the eldest daughter in to help me out.
Here is another christmas card that I completed today.
I bought the christmas tree stamp last year and thought it was about time I used it, lol.  The stamp is from Woodware.  I stamped the image onto white card and then onto patterned paper.  I then glued the pattern pieces on to create a bit of a three dimensional effect.  The sentiment was in the same stamp set.  The papers are from Hot Off The Press and feature lots of christmas tree baubles which I thought was appropriate to complement the tree.  Added a flower, ribbons (brown and cream across the card and a ribbon bow), buttons and some glitter for finishing touches.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Papertake - use sketch
The Crafty Pad - use 3 papers, 3 brads or buttons, 3 ribbons

Thanks for looking and would appreciate any comments.  Still not sure about this one.  Can't put my finger on why I am unsure about it but any feedback would be appreciated.

Look at them snowflakes!!

Morning All
It's a bit of chilly morning here.  I am posting this before I set off for work.  Hate this time of year having to leave the house while it is still dark.  Sometimes think I would be better off hibernating for the winter. lol
Hopefully this card will put a little smile on your face.
This is such a cute snowman from Molly Blooms.  I have coloured him in with my promarkers and added some glamour dust and flowersoft for some glitter and dimension.  All the papers used are from Papermania and have been matted and layered onto green card.  I added green and white ribbon to the left side of the card.  This was then finished off with some snowflakes from my stash, a sentiment and some gems.
A closer shot of the image.

Forever Friends Christmas

Hi Everyone
Before I get onto my card for today I would like to share some exciting news with you.  My crafting journey continues as I have been lucky enough to be chosen to be on the design team for Dream Valley Challenges.  Thanks to Melly and the team.  Looking forward to the journey together.

Now for my card for today.
Yet another christmas card.  I am slowly working my way through my list.
I have followed the sketch over at Sketch and Stash.  The image is obviously Forever Friends and these were a new addition to my christmas stock this year.  I die cut a circle to mount the image on and embossed this with little dots.  The white card at the side was also embossed using a snowflake embossing folder.  I die cut some snowflakes for the top right hand corner of the card.  I added some white ribbon which I recently bought.  A few snowflakes from my stash and a sentiment completed the card.
I am quite pleased with the way it turned out and it was quite quick to do.
Heres another picture
Must admit not very easy taking photos at the moment.  Just seems dull and grey outside most of the time which doesn't make for good photo taking conditions.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Sketch and Stash - challenge 75
Forever Friends - white and sparkles

Thanks for looking and please feel free to comment.  I love reading them.

Santa

Saturday already, don't where the time is flying too at the moment.  Not enough hours in the day.
Trying to get some decorating done before Christmas too.  I am now asking myself why!!
Anyway I had planned to do lots of crafting today but best laid plans etc.  Did strike a couple of my list but not enough.
Here is my offering to blogland for today
This is a lovely Molly Blooms stamp that shows an exhausted Santa on Boxing Day.  I really enjoyed colouring him in.  Of course, he would not be complete without some glitter.  I edged the image panel with some distress ink just to try and make it a bit softer, hope I have succeeded.
The background paper (from Papermania) has been matted onto red cardstock.  I then added three green glitter squares matted onto red cardstock on the right hand side of the card.  The sentiment was in my stash box (not sure where I got it from or when).  A bit of ribbon, some decorative pins and gems completed the card.
Here is a closer picture
Think this Santa may be making an appearance is some more of my cards.

Red and Green Christmas...

Evening Everyone
I am at the stage of needing some fairly quick christmas cards as still got so many to do.
Today's card is using traditional (or what I term traditional) christmas colours - red and green with the addition of silver.
This image is a stamp from Wild Rose Studio and I just love it.  Have coloured this in using my promarkers and then used lots of glamour dust on her coat and hat - well, it seemed rude not to.
The background was done by matting lots of little squares in red and green onto silver glitter card. The papers were from Papermania.  I edged all of the little squares with some faux stitching using a fine liner pen.  Also did some faux stitching on the image.
A closer picture of the image.
The sentiment was stamped onto white card and I used a cocktail stick to try and make it look a little like a sign.  Finally, added a glitter flourish and some silver card candy.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Sketch Saturday - use sketch provided
Dream Valley Challenges - 20 use some stitching
I love promarkers - 93 anything goes
Crafty Pad - 148 festive red and green and silver or gold

Thanks for looking and look forward to reading any comments.

Black and White

Evening Folks
Bit late posting this evening but went to the cinema to see Breaking Dawn. Just love it and can't wait for the final film.
Anyway here is a card I have done. My sister has put in a request for some christmas cards and this is the first one I have done for her.
As you can see I have gone for a black and white theme.  The center image was created using a set of tapestry stamps that I have.  Just done in black ink and embossed, then some glamour dust added for extra sparkle.  Then used several layers of black and white card (some of the layers I embossed).
Added some mock stitching round the outside, some die cut and punched snowflakes out of glitter paper, a sentiment, some pearls and glamour dust.
Here is a closer view of the center and the sentiment.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Totally Papercrafts #93 - Black and White
Bunny Zoe's - anything chrismassy with pearls
Sweet Sketch Wednesday - challenge 128 use sketch
Divas By Design - Challenge 15 monochromatic

Crackers...

Hi All
Don't know about you but I always feel a bit let down by christmas crackers.  They can cost a fortune and the gifts inside are not worth bothering with.
I went to a dabble day organised by my local craft shop a few weeks ago and was shown how to make a christmas cracker out of parchment.
This is my first effort:
Decided to keep this quite simple.  Made the cracker and used glitter strips, glitter peel offs and gems to embellish.  To keep it a bit more sturdy I made an inner using brown kraft card.  This has worked quite well and no danger of it sagging!!
I plan on personalising them all and putting a gift inside appropriate to that person.  Hopefully, they will like them enough to keep them as a christmas keepsake.
Will probably make the ones for ladies a bit more elaborate with some flowers but depends what time I get.
Hope you like them and thanks for looking.
Please feel free to leave me a comment as I love reading them.
